KIA studies at Selectrona

On Saturday, March 25, 2023, a company exchange for dual studies took place as part of the open day of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG). Between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., a total of 16 partner companies from the fields of mechanical engineering, energy and technology presented themselves on campus. As a long-standing partner of the university, Selectrona was once again on hand to get young people interested in studying interested in our company and a career as a KIA student with us. The Selectrona stand on the campus in Zittau was well attended. Colleagues from the technical departments were on hand who had themselves completed a KIA university course or were still doing so. They described everyday company life from their own experience to a young, inquisitive audience and went into detail about the individual practical phases of this dual vocational training program.

"KIA" is a dual university course of study leading to a bachelor's degree or a diploma in engineering (FH) - with integrated vocational training including an IHK/¬HWK qualification. This dual training path not only has the advantage of two degrees, but also distinguishes itself for the trainee in the compatibility of studies and financial independence. Selectrona, on the other hand, trains its own future specialists in a very practical manner and benefits from the latest findings in science and technology that KIA students bring with them from the lecture hall.
